Denali National Park & Preserve
Denali is just one of those places that inspires an experience of pure awe. It contains the tallest mountain in North America, which is not nearly the tallest in the world, but it is awe-inspiring nonetheless. The mountain, from which the park gets its name, has also been known as Mt. McKinley.
Biologically, there probably isn't a lot you'll see here that you couldn't see at other locations in Trip 11 or other trips combined. But here, in a more compact space you can experience a lot of it all at once. Unlike Yellowstone, from Trip 1, the wolves in Denali did not have to be transplanted. They've just been there. You may not see any elk but you can see caribou. And you can see bears, moose, dall sheep and many other large mammals.
