Hominidae is the family of the great apes, including humans. It is split into two subfamilies.


PONGINAE 

The subfamily Ponginae includes one genus: Pongo, the Orangutans


HOMINAE 

The subfamily Hominae includes three genera: Gorilla, Pan and Homo.
