ACORALES 8, 6

Acoraceae, the sweet flag family, is the only family in this order. As of 2023, 3 species of Acorales have been observed in iNaturalist in the US and 3 throughout the world. The most commonly observed species in the US, the Eurasian Sweet-Flag (Acorus calamus), was introduced and is not native. Focus in Trip 8. Introduce in Trip 3 with discussion of invasive species in ecology.
