CICONIIFORMES 

The order of Storks. As of 2024, 2 species of Ciconiiformes have been observed in iNaturalist in the US and 22 throughout the world.

PROCELLARIIFORMES 

Birds in the order of Tubenoses, Procellariiformes, live in and very near to the oceans. They can be experienced by visiting almost any coastal state in the U.S., especially those on the Pacific and Atlantic proper (they are more rare on the Gulf Coast). Hawaii, and the Papahanumokuakea Marine Sanctuary of Trip 12 will be the focus but you could potentially experience them in Trips 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 11.

As of 2024, 39 species of Procellariiformes have been observed in iNaturalist in the US and 136 throughout the world.

All species of penguins live in the southern hemisphere, so they cannot be experienced in the wild in the U.S. Most of the penguins in zoo exhibits can be experienced in Trip 6.
