Rocky Mountain National Park

In additon to the tundra environment, the park encompasses subalpine forests, montane forests, mountain meadows and shrublands, and riparian environments. The different characteristics of the west and east sides of the park offer a chance to appreciate the effects of orographic precipitation on plant and animal life.
