Gifford Pinchot State Park & Allegheny National Forest
Gifford Pinchot was an early advocate for sustainable use of the land. He was also the first Chief of the U.S. Forest Service. For locations in which to consider his "conservation ethic", we'll visit a state park named after him and one of the national forests he oversaw during his time as USFS Chief.
